A very warm welcome to my meditation page.

I am guessing that if you have arrived here you are perhaps looking for something you don’t feel you have enough of in your life right now? Maybe you are looking for peace, connection, hope, guidance, rest, health, truth? Whatever you are looking for I truly believe learning to come home to yourself will help you.

With my guidance and regular practice you will be able to still your mind, deeply rest your body, connect with your own unconscious wisdom, be nourished by the energy and holding of the group and allow yourself a sense of being part of something bigger (whatever that is for you).

    How we practice together

Each class starts with us sat down. Some people sit, like I am in my picture, crosslegged on a mat on the floor, but others sit on a sofa, chair or on their bed (if attending on zoom). You are always encouraged to be comfortable and supported. I introduce a theme or a little bit of inspiration each week and we do a gentle meditation. There is nothing for you to do but listen and relax. This part of the class is to help you arrive, let go of all the busyness of the day or week and settle into the present. Gently becoming aware of your senses, your breath and your body in the here and now.

We then do a breath work practice. I offer different breath work each week so that you learn a wide variety of tools to use in your day to day life. The breath is your life force energy (or Prana). We breath unconsciously all the time, it just happens without you needing to think or tell yourself to do it. Connecting with your breath is magic really. In this one practice we can arrive in the moment; moving away from rumination about the past or anxiety about the future. We can work with our breath to slow our heart rate, signal to our nervous system that we are safe and help ourselves move into the healing state, where we can rest, digest and repair. It almost sounds too simple doesn’t it? Surely breathing consciously isn’t so magical? But the science shows that it is and your own experience will too.

For some people breath work can be a bit tricky, if you have any concerns please talk to me and we can work together to find the best way for you to practice and alternatives.

We then often do a little self care practice, this can range from some gentle movement, a self-massage of the face or hands, or a little exercise. You are always free to join in, adapt or just miss out anything you don’t want to try. These practices are offered for times when you feel too twitchy or tense to meditate or do breath work. Sometimes moving practices can be easier for us.

Then finally we lay down or sit down for the longer meditation. I encourage to get yourself really comfy and cosy, darken the light, and even snuggle right into your bed if you are at home. This meditation is about 20 minutes long and you need to do nothing at all. Just let my voice wash over you as you relax trusting that your unconscious mind will take what it needs from the experience and leave behind the rest. Some of my classes are in the evening and some of my group members choose to stay snoozing for a while after class, there is no pressure to get up to say goodbye. This is your time to use as you wish.

I have classes on Zoom so you can join from wherever you are and I have others in person in Lincolnshire.
